Background
Ania “of the lamplight” is a young gremlin living in the mid-levels of the tower, a behemoth of interlocking structures reaching high into the sky, permeated by a dense, caustic smog throughout. She has a completely robotic pelvis and legs and diesel power lungs, though they are failing. A patch of skin on her cheek is necrotic and burned from the smog. She is usually in her work outfit or her mech suit, and her face is almost never revealed, though this is mostly due to cultural and safety practices. Whatever other parent Ania had was gone when her mother had her, and when she was a small child she became the main caretaker of the two of them as her mothers frequent pregnancies slowly left her bound to her mech. This caused her to grow up far faster than she should have, and now she takes on a sort of cynical responsibility for all things. it doesnt tend to complain, more so takes on any task or chore with the knowledge that when (not if) it dies, no one will be left to continue the work. Her family consists of her mother and several siblings she hasn't seen since they were babies, taken by other children to be raised. Her mother is machine-bound and relies on Ania to provide. She is close with an older woman who acts as a mentor figure to her. Ania considers herself reliable, but not very empathic, she doesn't like to “coddle” anyone's problems. She doesn't really have many friends, just regulars at the bar she owns/works at, and they never really learn anything about her other than her work persona, quiet and dutiful. Character Goals
What does your character want?To fix it’s lungs and live as long as possible.
What are their flaws?
Anti-social, cynical, bad at understanding it’s own emotions and lashes out at others, slowly dying and not happy about it. Lack of sufficient oxygen induces near constant brain fog.
Will come across as: cold, blunt, quiet, uncaring/unfeeling.
Has never experienced skin to skin contact or physical affection, is extremely touch starved (doesnt know this.)

Where is your character in society? How do they feel about this?Ania hates where society is, nevermind where it is. It hates that it has to scrape and steal to survive, it resents the spheres for leaving the gremlins to rot. Ania wishes it could be either a tool or a person, not stuck in limbo.
